Common questions about ordering, analysis and handling of research peptides from ExoLabz. If your question is not answered here, contact us.

What does “research use only” mean?

It means the material is supplied for in vitro and laboratory work and is not an authorised health product. It has not been assessed by Health Canada for safety or efficacy in people, holds no Drug Identification Number, and is not supplied for administration to humans or animals.

Do you provide certificates of analysis?

Yes. Batches are tested by third-party laboratories and certificates of analysis are published on this site. Each COA includes photographs of the batch.

What is on a certificate of analysis?

ExoLabz certificates report third-party laboratory testing, including peptide identity confirmation and purity, with HPLC and/or mass spectrometry data where applicable.

Why does a 10mg vial not contain 10mg of peptide?

Lyophilised peptides are supplied as salts, most often trifluoroacetate, and are hygroscopic. Vial weight includes counter-ion and residual water, so net peptide content is typically 70-90%. Use that figure rather than nominal vial weight when calculating concentrations.

How should peptides be stored on arrival?

Transfer to a refrigerator at 2-8 C without opening. Before first use, let the sealed vial reach room temperature so atmospheric moisture does not condense onto the powder, then reseal promptly. Aliquot on first opening to avoid repeated temperature cycling.

Do peptides need cold-chain shipping?

Lyophilised powder is stable over normal transit windows and does not require cold chain for standard delivery. Extended storage at ambient temperature should be avoided.

Do you ship to the United States?

Yes, at a flat rate of $35 CAD with tracking. Parcels cross an international border, so the recipient is responsible for any applicable duties and import charges and for compliance with the requirements that apply to them.

What is the difference between GLP-1, GLP-1/GIP and GLP-1/GIP/Glucagon?

They differ in how many receptors the peptide activates. GLP-1 targets the GLP-1 receptor; GLP-1/GIP is a dual incretin-receptor agonist; GLP-1/GIP/Glucagon adds the glucagon receptor. All three are class B1 G-protein-coupled receptors that signal primarily through Gs and cAMP.

Is free shipping available in Canada?

Yes, on Canadian orders over $200 CAD. Promotional free shipping is also applied when a qualifying coupon code is used at checkout.

Is it legal to buy research peptides in Canada?

The compounds ExoLabz supplies are not scheduled under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and they are supplied as research materials rather than as authorised health products. That is a narrow statement rather than a broad permission: a substance can be entirely outside the CDSA and still be an unauthorised drug under the Food and Drugs Act if it is sold or represented for human use. The purchaser is responsible for determining the legal status and permissible use of any product in their own jurisdiction. Our note on the regulatory status of research peptides in Canada sets out the framework, and it is general information rather than legal advice.

Do you provide dosing or administration guidance?

No, and we will not, in any channel. ExoLabz does not provide dosing schedules, administration routes, reconstitution volumes expressed as a dose, or cycle protocols. The analytical, storage and laboratory-handling information published on this site exists so material can be identified, verified and stored correctly; it is not instruction for use in a person or animal. A supplier that offers guidance of that kind has stepped outside the research-use-only framing its own disclaimer depends on.

How do I match a vial to its certificate?

ExoLabz vials do not carry a printed batch number. Each certificate of analysis includes photographs of the batch it describes, and the vial is matched against those by cap and crimp colour. Compare the vial in your hand against the photographs on the certificate for that product before the material goes into storage, and save the certificate as a file alongside your own receiving record — a link is not a record. See what to check when a shipment arrives.

What sales tax will I be charged?

Tax is calculated at checkout on the delivery address, not the billing address, and the rate is the one that applies in that province or territory. In brief: 5% GST in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec and the three territories; 13% HST in Ontario; 14% HST in Nova Scotia; 15% HST in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island.

In the harmonised provinces the federal and provincial portions arrive as a single line rather than two. A GST/HST-registered laboratory or institution recovers the tax through the ordinary input tax credit, and quotations are issued tax-exclusive with the tax shown separately.

No customs duty or carrier brokerage applies to a Canadian delivery, because a domestic parcel does not clear customs. Both apply on an imported order, and brokerage is billed by the carrier on delivery rather than at the point of purchase.

Do you sell reviews, or publish customer testimonials about effects?

No. Reviews submitted to this site must relate to product identity, purity, analytical data, packaging, shipping or service. Anything describing human or veterinary use, administration, dosing or physiological effect is held and not published. Under Canadian law a published review on a seller’s own website is a representation by the seller, so this standard is applied without exception rather than as a matter of taste.

All products are supplied for laboratory research use only and are not approved for human consumption, clinical, or veterinary use.
