Tesamorelin is the one GHRH analog in our catalogue that keeps the full 44-residue sequence. Everything else that gets grouped with it, sermorelin and CJC-1295 included, is a 29-residue fragment. That difference shows up on the certificate before it shows up anywhere else, and this page is about reading that certificate, choosing between the GHRH analogs we stock, and ordering within Canada without a border in the way.

What tesamorelin is

Tesamorelin is human GHRH(1-44) amide with a single modification: a trans-3-hexenoyl group attached to the N-terminal tyrosine. The sequence is otherwise the native hormone. The acyl group is the entire point of the molecule, because the first two residues of unmodified GHRH are the site that dipeptidyl peptidase-4 cleaves, and a blocked N-terminus is not a substrate for that enzyme in the same way.

The calculated monoisotopic mass of the free peptide is close to 5,135 Da, and the acetate salt supplied in a vial weighs more than the peptide alone. Both figures matter when you read a certificate, and the section on net content below explains why.

Tesamorelin, sermorelin and CJC-1295 side by side

Three GHRH analogs appear in Canadian research catalogues, and they are easy to confuse by name because all three act at the same receptor in published work. They are not interchangeable as reference material.

  • Tesamorelin: 44 residues, N-terminal hexenoyl group, mass near 5,135 Da.
  • Sermorelin: residues 1 to 29 of GHRH, unmodified, mass near 3,358 Da. We stock it in 5 mg and 10 mg vials, and the sermorelin Canada page covers it on its own.
  • CJC-1295 without DAC: the same 29-residue frame with four substitutions (D-Ala2, Gln8, Ala15, Leu27), mass near 3,368 Da. Stocked as a 5 mg vial and in the CJC-1295 and ipamorelin blend.

The masses are far enough apart that a single mass spectrum settles which one is in the vial. A certificate that reports an observed mass of about 3,360 Da for material labelled tesamorelin is describing a different compound. Our article on GHRH analogs versus growth hormone secretagogues goes through the receptor logic in more depth.

Reading a tesamorelin certificate

A 44-residue peptide carries more opportunity for synthesis-related impurities than a short one, so the chromatogram deserves a closer look than it would for a tetrapeptide. Three things to check:

  1. Purity by HPLC area. Our specification is 99%+. The figure is the main peak as a share of all detected area at the stated wavelength, usually 214 or 220 nm for peptides.
  2. Identity by mass. The observed mass should sit within a few daltons of the calculated value, and the report should state both. Deletion sequences, which are the typical impurity in a long synthetic peptide, show up as peaks roughly one residue lighter.
  3. Net peptide content, if reported. Lyophilised tesamorelin is an acetate salt and carries bound water. A 10 mg label refers to gross vial content unless the certificate says otherwise. Our guide to net peptide content explains how to convert.

Every certificate we hold is published as issued on the certificates page, and vials are matched to their report by cap and crimp colour.

Handling in the laboratory

Lyophilised tesamorelin is stable in a sealed vial at minus 20 °C for extended periods. Once reconstituted, the hexenoyl group does not protect the peptide from oxidation at methionine 27 or from deamidation at the asparagine residues, so working solutions should be aliquoted, kept cold, and not refrozen repeatedly. The peptide adsorbs to untreated glass and polystyrene at low concentration; low-bind tubes or a carrier protein in the buffer limit the loss. Our note on peptide adsorption has the detail.

Stock and availability

We supply tesamorelin 10 mg as a single lyophilised vial. When a batch sells through, the product page shows it as out of stock rather than taking back-orders, and the next batch is listed as soon as its certificate is back from the laboratory. If you need GHRH reference material in the meantime, sermorelin and CJC-1295 are held in stock continuously.

Buying tesamorelin in Canada

Orders ship from inside Canada, so nothing crosses a border, there is no customs declaration, no duty and no brokerage fee added on delivery. Dispatch is usually within one business day, with Canada Post, Purolator, FedEx and UPS services offered at checkout and typical transit of two to five days depending on the province. Tracked shipping is free on orders over $200.

Tax is charged at the rate for the delivery province, GST or HST as applicable, and shown on the invoice. Volume pricing applies automatically across the whole order: every vial in the cart counts toward the break, whatever the mix of compounds. The per-milligram price list puts tesamorelin alongside the other GHRH analogs on one scale.

Regulatory position

Tesamorelin from ExoLabz is supplied strictly as a laboratory reference material for in vitro and analytical research. It is not a drug, holds no Drug Identification Number, and is not for human or veterinary use. We do not provide dosing or administration information in any channel. Our regulatory status page sets out the position in full.

Why ExoLabz Canada

Built for Canadian labs that check the data

Shipped from inside Canada

Packed and handed to the carrier usually within one business day, then tracked across Canada, typically 1 to 4 business days outside the territories.

Third-party HPLC & purity testing

Independent laboratories run the HPLC and purity work. Certificates live on the certificates page and on selected product pages, and cap and crimp colour ties a vial to its document.

Purity Guarantee

Test a vial yourself. If an independent laboratory reports a purity failure, the product is refunded and the cost of that test comes back with it.

Free shipping over $200

Free over $200 CAD, with no clearance, duty or brokerage anywhere in the country, and quantity pricing applied in the cart.
