GHK-Cu is the one compound in our catalogue that is sold as a metal complex rather than a free peptide, and that single fact changes what a buyer in Canada should ask for. This page is a buying guide for researchers sourcing GHK-Cu domestically, covering the chemistry a certificate has to account for, the price per milligram of both vial sizes in CAD, and the practical differences between a parcel shipped inside Canada and one brought in from abroad.

GHK-Cu as a copper complex

GHK is a tripeptide, glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, three residues and nothing more, with the formula C14H24N6O4 and a mass of 340.38 g/mol. GHK-Cu is that same tripeptide holding a copper(II) ion at specific coordination sites: formula C14H23CuN6O4, mass 402.92 g/mol, the copper adding roughly 62 g/mol. The two carry different registry numbers, 49557-75-7 for GHK and 89030-95-5 for copper tripeptide-1, and the copper is why the material is blue rather than white. Our article on GHK-Cu registry numbers and masses tabulates both forms, and the GHK-Cu Canada hub covers the complex as a whole. We supply GHK-Cu as a lyophilised research material in 50 mg and 100 mg vials; it is also the largest component of the KLOW Peptide Blend 80 mg, which contains 50 mg of GHK-Cu alongside 10 mg each of BPC-157, TB-500 and KPV.

What a certificate for a copper complex should report

A standard peptide certificate measures the peptide. HPLC purity is a statement about the peptide portion of the material and says nothing about the copper, so a certificate that reports only peptide purity has characterised part of the material rather than all of it. A complete report for GHK-Cu therefore needs more than most compounds on this site. It should name the laboratory and include a method section. It should give identity by mass spectrometry with a calculated value to compare against; the free peptide and the copper complex differ by tens of daltons, so the observed mass tells you which form was analysed. It should state the detection wavelength on the chromatogram, and that wavelength should not be 280 nm, because GHK contains no tryptophan, tyrosine or phenylalanine and a high purity figure read there is not meaningful. Copper content has to be established by a separate determination, not inferred from the peptide purity. Net content matters too: the vial figure is gross material, which includes the coordinated copper, the counter-ion and residual water, and residual water in a freeze-dried solid is measured by Karl Fischer titration rather than assumed; our article on Karl Fischer water content explains the method. Finally, the complex can partly dissociate on the column, so two laboratories can report different figures for the same vial; that is one more reason a report should carry its method.

Colour is a real signal but not a measurement. The copper complex is blue, free GHK is not, and a paler solid than expected or a colour shift in solution deserves investigation. It is not quantitative and should not be read as a purity figure. Published certificates for tested lots across our catalogue, each with batch photographs, are on the certificates page; as with every compound we sell, a report describes the lot that was tested, not whichever lot is shipping on the day you order, and our vials are matched to a report by cap colour and crimp colour against the photographs rather than by a printed lot number.

GHK-Cu price per milligram in CAD

List prices on 28 October 2026, with the 25% cart tier applied in the 10+ columns. The KLOW row divides by the combined label mass of the whole blend, not by its GHK-Cu share.

ProductList price (CAD)Label mg$/mg10+ vial price$/mg at 10+
GHK-Cu 50 mg$59.995059.99 ÷ 50 = $1.2059.99 × 0.75 = $44.9944.99 ÷ 50 = $0.90

The 100 mg vial is the lower cost per milligram, while the 50 mg vial means less cumulative moisture uptake over repeated openings, so the right size depends on how quickly the material will be drawn down rather than on price alone. Per-milligram cost is still the only figure that lets you compare the two sizes, or compare us with another vendor; the price list for Canada ranks the whole catalogue that way and comparing prices per milligram sets out the caveats, including gross versus net mass.

Domestic shipping versus importing

GHK-Cu ordered from exolabz.ca leaves from inside Canada and travels as a tracked domestic parcel in plain-label packaging to a Canadian address; we do not ship outside the country. Since the parcel never crosses a border, there is no customs form, no duty assessment and no brokerage fee. Orders confirmed before the daily cut-off usually go out within one business day, later orders join the next dispatch, and late-Friday orders leave on Monday. Transit from dispatch is typically 1–3 business days in Alberta and Saskatchewan, 2–4 in British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec, 3–5 in Atlantic Canada, and longer in Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, with none of those ranges guaranteed. Shipping is free above $200 CAD and a flat tracked rate below it.

A parcel imported from outside Canada carries costs that do not appear on the vendor’s product page: the exchange rate applied to a foreign-currency price, an international shipping charge, and the chance that the parcel can be held for inspection on entry. Importing research chemicals into Canada vs buying domestically works through the comparison, and the shipping policy carries the current flat rate.

Payment options

We take Interac e-Transfer, credit card and crypto, and the price is identical whichever you choose. For e-Transfer, the security question is the order number and the message field should be left empty. Card payments are processed in USD at the live rate, which is why a statement can show a figure a few cents away from the CAD checkout total. Crypto payments are accepted in Solana, Ethereum and Bitcoin. See the payment methods page for instructions.

Storage after delivery and the seven-day window

Lyophilised GHK-Cu is stable over normal transit and ships at ambient temperature. On arrival, keep the sealed vial at 2–8 °C, dark and dry. The lyophilised solid is hygroscopic: if a cold vial is opened and left open it gains water from the air, so let it reach room temperature before the first opening and close it promptly afterwards. Within 7 calendar days of delivery, check the vial count against the order, confirm cap and crimp colours against the batch photographs on the certificate you intend to rely on, and inspect the glass and seal; a solid that is noticeably paler than the blue you expect is also worth noting at this stage. Damaged or incorrect items reported inside the window with photos are replaced or refunded. The full checklist is in receiving a research peptide shipment, and storage and stability of lyophilised research peptides covers the months that follow.

Five things to confirm with any GHK-Cu vendor

  1. Does the certificate state the observed mass, and does it match the copper complex (402.92 g/mol) rather than the free tripeptide (340.38 g/mol)?
  2. Was copper content determined separately, or does the report stop at peptide purity?
  3. Is the detection wavelength printed, and is it one at which GHK absorbs?
  4. Is the laboratory named, with a method section, and are batch photographs published so the vial can be matched to the report?
  5. What is the remedy if an independent test fails the certificate’s specification? Our purity guarantee refunds the product and the testing fee.

The general version of this list is in choosing a research peptide supplier in Canada, and how to read a peptide certificate of analysis shows where each item sits on a report.

Product pages

GHK-Cu is listed as GHK-Cu Copper Peptide 50 mg and GHK-Cu Copper Peptide 100 mg, and as the main component of the KLOW Peptide Blend 80 mg. The GHK-Cu Canada hub gathers our articles on the complex, including the note on copper coordination, and the KLOW hub covers the blend.
