This guide is for researchers sourcing PT-141 in Canada and wondering how to judge a vendor. It is not a product page. It explains what PT-141 is as a molecule, what a certificate for a cyclic peptide of this kind needs to report, what our single vial size costs per milligram in Canadian dollars, and why a domestic tracked parcel differs from an imported one.

What PT-141 is

PT-141, also catalogued as bremelanotide, is a cyclic heptapeptide: seven residues, written Ac-Nle-cyclo[Asp-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Lys]-OH, with the ring closed by a lactam bridge between the aspartate and lysine side chains. Its formula is C50H68N14O10, mass 1025.2 g/mol, CAS 189691-06-3. It is one of three melanocortin-class peptides we stock, and the relationship between them is structural rather than loose: Melanotan II has the identical ring and sequence but ends in an amide, so PT-141 is Melanotan II with the C-terminal amide replaced by a free carboxylic acid, a swap of one nitrogen for one oxygen and a one-dalton difference in mass. Melanotan 1 is a different kind of molecule altogether, a linear thirteen-residue peptide of 1646.8 g/mol that shares a prefix with the other two and little else. Melanotan 1, Melanotan II and PT-141: a structural comparison lays the three sequences side by side. We supply PT-141 as a lyophilised research material in a 10 mg vial; the PT-141 Canada hub collects everything else we have written on it.

What a PT-141 certificate should show

Because the lactam bridge is an amide bond, a certificate for PT-141 has to do two things a certificate for a linear peptide does not. First, it must report both the calculated and the observed mass, because the uncyclised linear precursor is the impurity most worth excluding and it sits about 18 Da above the intended product, the mass of the water lost on ring closure. A report that prints only a purity percentage cannot show that the ring has formed. Second, the sequence on the certificate should be read, not skimmed: PT-141 and Melanotan II differ by one terminal group and about one dalton, and they sit close together on a reversed-phase column, so the sequence line and the terminal group are what separate the two on paper. PT-141 and the lactam bridge goes into why the bridge is not reduced by the reagents that open a disulfide.

Beyond that, the usual checks apply. The laboratory should be named. The HPLC method section should state the column, gradient and detection wavelength, and the purity figure should be area percent at that wavelength. Net peptide content is separate from purity: the label milligrams are gross, and after the counter-ion (usually TFA) and residual water are allowed for, net content typically lands at 70–90% of label. The report should carry batch photographs, because our vials have no printed lot number and the only way to tie a vial to a report is to match cap colour and crimp colour against those pictures.

Our published report for PT-141 10 mg is ILS Laboratories COA-2026-VMNVSK, which reports 99.83% purity. That is the figure for a tested lot. It is not a claim about whichever lot is on the shelf today; new reports are uploaded as testing comes back, and the full set with photographs is on the certificates page. How to read a peptide certificate of analysis explains each field.

PT-141 price per milligram in CAD

These are list prices on 28 October 2026, with the 10+ columns at the cart’s 25% tier. The two other melanocortin vials are included so the three can be read on one axis.

ProductList price (CAD)Label mg$/mg10+ vial price$/mg at 10+
PT-141 10 mg$57.991057.99 ÷ 10 = $5.8057.99 × 0.75 = $43.4943.49 ÷ 10 = $4.35
Melanotan II 10 mg$59.991059.99 ÷ 10 = $6.0059.99 × 0.75 = $44.9944.99 ÷ 10 = $4.50
Melanotan 1 10 mg$59.991059.99 ÷ 10 = $6.0059.99 × 0.75 = $44.9944.99 ÷ 10 = $4.50

With a single PT-141 size the per-milligram figure matters less for comparing our own vials and more for comparing vendors, since another store may list 5 mg or 20 mg and the sticker price will mislead either way. Our research peptide price list gives the $/mg figure for the whole catalogue, and comparing research peptide prices per milligram sets out what the figure does and does not capture.

A domestic parcel versus an imported one

We ship only to Canadian addresses, only from inside Canada, as a tracked domestic parcel in plain-label packaging. Nothing crosses a border, so customs forms, duty and brokerage do not come into it. Confirmed orders usually leave within one business day; an order after the cut-off goes with the next dispatch and a late-Friday order with Monday’s. Typical transit after dispatch runs 1–3 business days to Alberta and Saskatchewan, 2–4 to British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec, 3–5 to the Atlantic provinces, and longer to Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. These are typical times, not a guarantee. Orders above $200 CAD ship free; under that, a flat tracked rate appears at checkout and is set out on the shipping policy.

A parcel from outside Canada carries costs a domestic one does not. The price is quoted in a foreign currency, so the exchange rate decides the final charge. International shipping is added on top. And the parcel can be held for inspection at the border, which lengthens the wait by an amount nobody can forecast. Importing research chemicals into Canada vs buying domestically compares the two routes line by line.

Payment options

Interac e-Transfer, credit card and crypto are all accepted, and no method is cheaper or dearer than another. For e-Transfer, the order number goes in as the security question and the notes field stays empty. Card payments are processed in USD at the live rate, which is why the statement line can differ from the CAD total by a few cents. Crypto payments can be made in Solana, Ethereum or Bitcoin. See the payment methods page for each procedure.

Quantity pricing on PT-141

Tiers apply in the cart automatically and need no code. The count is of vials across the whole cart, so one PT-141 and one Melanotan II already reach the first tier.

Email codes for a first order or a win-back are applied on top of the tier. A holiday code at 30% off list is different: while it is in the cart it replaces quantity pricing rather than adding to it. Quantities beyond ten vials can be quoted through the bulk orders page.

Storage on arrival and the seven-day check

PT-141 ships as lyophilised powder without cold-chain, since the powder is stable over normal transit. Store the sealed vial at 2–8 °C, dark and dry, and allow it to reach room temperature before the first opening so that moisture from the air does not settle on cold powder. Use the first 7 calendar days to confirm the order: count vials against the packing slip, match cap and crimp colours against the batch photographs on the certificate you intend to rely on, and inspect for cracked glass or a lifted crimp. Damaged or incorrect items reported in that window with photos are replaced or refunded. Receiving a research peptide shipment has the checklist in full, and storage and stability of lyophilised research peptides covers what to expect from the vial afterwards.

Five checks before ordering from anyone

  1. Does the certificate name an independent laboratory and show a method section, or is it a one-line in-house summary?
  2. Does it report both calculated and observed mass, so you can rule out the uncyclised precursor 18 Da above the product?
  3. Is the printed sequence actually PT-141, ending in a free acid, rather than its amidated cousin?
  4. Can the vial you receive be matched to the report by lot number or by batch photographs?
  5. What is the vendor’s position if your own independent test fails the certificate’s specification? Ours is a full refund of product and testing fee under the purity guarantee, with unused material returned alongside the lab report.

Choosing a research peptide supplier in Canada expands on all five, and how to read a peptide certificate of analysis shows where the mass and sequence lines sit on a real report.

Next steps

The product page is PT-141 10 mg; the other two melanocortin vials are Melanotan II 10 mg and Melanotan 1 10 mg. The PT-141 Canada hub holds the articles, the FAQ deals with ordering questions, and support@exolabz.ca or the contact page cover the rest.

All products are sold for laboratory research use only and are not for human or animal use.
