Researchers looking for TB-500 in Canada run into a naming problem before they run into a pricing one. This guide is written for laboratories sourcing the compound domestically: it explains which material the name refers to, what a certificate has to show for it, what each of our vial sizes costs per milligram in Canadian dollars, and what changes when a parcel does or does not cross a border. It is a guide, not a product listing.

Which material the name TB-500 refers to

TB-500 is a trade name, not a sequence, and it is applied to at least two materials whose masses differ by a factor of more than five. Thymosin beta-4 is a 43-residue protein with an acetylated N-terminus and a mass near 4,963 Da. What is generally sold as TB-500 is a short synthetic fragment drawn from its actin-binding region, most often the acetylated heptapeptide Ac-LKKTETQ, with a mass near 889 Da. A protein and a seven-residue peptide are not variants of one compound, and a certificate that does not say which one it describes has not described either. Thymosin beta-4 vs the TB-500 fragment sets out the distinction in detail, and the TB-500 Canada hub is the starting point for the rest of our material on it. We stock the fragment as a lyophilised research material in 5 mg and 10 mg vials, and as the second component of the BPC-157 & TB-500 blends (5 mg of each in the 10 mg vial; 10 mg of each in the 20 mg vial).

Reading a TB-500 certificate

Four things matter on a TB-500 report. First, identity: the report must give an observed mass and a calculated value to compare it against, because a mass with nothing beside it, or no mass at all, has not identified the material. For the heptapeptide that calculated value is roughly 889 Da; for the full-length protein it is roughly 4,963 Da. Second, purity, which is an area percentage from HPLC, with the detection wavelength printed on the chromatogram. The wavelength matters more for this peptide than for most: Ac-LKKTETQ contains none of the three aromatic residues that absorb at 280 nm, so a purity figure read at 280 nm says little, and a reviewer should expect a lower wavelength. Third, net peptide content. With two lysines in a seven-residue chain the counter-ion contribution is real, so the gross label mass and the peptide mass are different numbers; across our catalogue net content is typically 70–90% of label once counter-ion (usually TFA) and residual water are taken out. Fourth, the laboratory should be named, a method section included, and photographs of the batch published alongside the report, since our vials carry no printed lot number and the match from vial to report is made by cap colour and crimp colour.

Our published report for TB-500 10 mg is Janoshik #93627, which reports 99.165% purity. We publish it as a record of a tested lot; it should not be read as describing the lot currently in stock, because new tests are added as they are completed. The certificates page holds every published report with its photographs, and what third-party peptide testing measures covers what the numbers on it mean.

Cost per milligram of TB-500 in CAD

Every figure below is derived from the list price on 28 October 2026; the 10+ column is the 25% cart tier.

ProductList price (CAD)Label mg$/mg10+ vial price$/mg at 10+
TB-500 5 mg$77.99577.99 ÷ 5 = $15.6077.99 × 0.75 = $58.4958.49 ÷ 5 = $11.70
TB-500 10 mg$99.991099.99 ÷ 10 = $10.0099.99 × 0.75 = $74.9974.99 ÷ 10 = $7.50
BPC-157 & TB-500 Blend 10 mg (5 mg TB-500)$84.9910 combined84.99 ÷ 10 = $8.5084.99 × 0.75 = $63.7463.74 ÷ 10 = $6.37
BPC-157 & TB-500 Blend 20 mg (10 mg TB-500)$159.9920 combined159.99 ÷ 20 = $8.00159.99 × 0.75 = $119.99119.99 ÷ 20 = $6.00

The 10 mg vial costs $22.00 more than the 5 mg vial and contains twice the material, which is why the per-milligram figure, not the sticker price, is the number to compare between sizes and between vendors. Our price list for Canada is sorted on exactly that basis, and this article on comparing prices per milligram explains why the comparison should also account for net content.

A Canadian parcel versus an imported one

Everything we sell on exolabz.ca ships from inside Canada, to Canadian addresses only, as a tracked domestic parcel in plain-label packaging. No border is crossed, so there is no customs entry, no duty and no brokerage charge on top of the price you see. Dispatch is usually within one business day of confirmation; orders after the daily cut-off go out with the next dispatch, and late Friday orders go out Monday. From dispatch, parcels typically reach Alberta and Saskatchewan in 1–3 business days, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec in 2–4, Atlantic Canada in 3–5, and the three territories in longer. We give these as typical ranges rather than a promise. Orders over $200 CAD ship free; smaller orders pay a flat tracked rate shown at checkout and listed on the shipping policy.

Ordering from outside the country changes the arithmetic. A price in another currency is converted at your card’s exchange rate, the cross-border shipping charge is usually higher than a domestic one, and a parcel entering Canada can be held for inspection, which adds time you cannot plan around. We compare the two routes line by line in importing research chemicals vs ordering domestically in Canada.

Paying for the order

Three payment methods are available and none of them changes the price. Interac e-Transfer, with the order number as the security question and no custom message attached. Credit card, which is processed in USD at the live exchange rate, so the line on your statement can be a few cents off the CAD total shown at checkout. Crypto, in Solana, Ethereum or Bitcoin. The payment methods page has the step-by-step for each.

How the quantity tiers apply to TB-500

The cart counts every vial in it, whatever the compound, and applies the matching tier without a code. The two TB-500 sizes work out as follows.

Vials in cartDiscountTB-500 5 mg per vialTB-500 10 mg per vial
1none$77.99$99.99
2–55%77.99 × 0.95 = $74.0999.99 × 0.95 = $94.99
6–710%77.99 × 0.90 = $70.1999.99 × 0.90 = $89.99
8–915%77.99 × 0.85 = $66.2999.99 × 0.85 = $84.99
10+25%77.99 × 0.75 = $58.4999.99 × 0.75 = $74.99

A first-order or win-back code from one of our emails stacks on top of whichever tier the cart has reached. A holiday code at 30% off list does not stack; it replaces quantity pricing for as long as it is applied. For quantities past ten vials, the bulk orders page explains how to request a quote.

When the parcel arrives

The lyophilised powder is stable over ordinary transit, so TB-500 does not travel cold-chain and nothing about the parcel’s journey needs to be cold. Once it is in the laboratory, store the sealed vial at 2–8 °C, protected from light and moisture. Before the first opening, let the vial come up to room temperature; a cold vial opened in warm air pulls water onto the powder. Within 7 calendar days of delivery, inspect the contents: compare the vial count with the order, photograph the caps and crimps and check them against the batch photographs on the certificate you plan to cite, and note any cracked glass or disturbed seal. We replace or refund damaged or incorrect items reported inside that window with photos. Our arrival checklist goes through each step, and this note on vial closures and crimps explains what a sound seal looks like.

Questions to put to any TB-500 vendor

  • Which material is being sold under the name: the roughly 889 Da heptapeptide fragment or the roughly 4,963 Da protein? The certificate’s calculated mass answers this.
  • At what wavelength was purity measured, and is that wavelength printed on the chromatogram?
  • Who ran the test? A named third-party laboratory with a method section, or an unnamed in-house report?
  • How is a vial tied to its report: printed lot number, or batch photographs with cap and crimp colours?
  • What is the remedy if an independent test fails the certificate’s specification? Our purity guarantee covers the product and the testing fee.

Each of these is expanded in choosing a research peptide supplier in Canada, and how to read a peptide certificate of analysis shows where on a report to find the wavelength, the mass and the method.
